Fellowship for journalists

Kathmandu, October 10:

Asia Media Forum (AMF), a network of journalists from across Asia, has announced a journalism fellowship for self-motivated working journalists who aspire to improve their coverage of human rights more deeply. The closing date for submission of applications is October 25.

In a press release, AMF said the fellowship to be provided to 20 middle career (below 40 years) journalists working for print and electronic media, both from their respective mainstream and regional media, gives an opportunity to work in the field in Asian countries on certain themes relating to human rights. “The selected fellows under AMF Journalism Fellowship will be sent to a country in South Asia or South East Asia to work in the field with the poor and marginalised communities so that they can report on the rights of these communities during their two- week stay in these countries,” the release said.
