Film fest begins

Kathmandu:

The 6th edition of the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) kicked off in the capital today. Minister for Information and Communications Krishna Bahadur Mahara inaugurated the five-day festival where films from 18 countries on mountains, its environment, cultures and communities will be showcased at the Rastriya Sabha Griha and Nepal Tourism Board.

More than 200 entries from 26 countries were received for the festival of which 34 will be screened in the non-competitive category while 20 in the competitive category. An international panel of jury will judge the competition. — RSS
