KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 300,000 was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at the rented room of Mukesh Jha in Sankhamul of KMC-34 on Tuesday.

Police said that a television set and a laptop among others goods were destroyed in the fire.

The reason behind the fire was electric short circuit.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
