Nepal is set to host its first-ever Skywell Pilot Summit 2025 on Saturday, April 19 at Hotel Malla, Kathmandu, marking a significant milestone in the country's aviation sector.
Organized by the newly formed Pilot Association of Nepal, the summit aims to promote professionalism, unity, and safety awareness among Nepali pilots. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, will attend the event as the chief guest.
The summit is titled after its main sponsor, Skywell, Nepal's first real electric SUV. During the sponsorship agreement, Kailash Babu Gelal, Managing Director of G Motors Pvt. Ltd., said the collaboration reflects the shared values of safety and responsibility between Skywell and aviation professionals.
As the title sponsor of the summit, Skywell will also act as the official mobility partner of the Pilot Association of Nepal throughout 2025. Skywell, a leading EU-certified electric vehicle manufactured in China and exported to 65 countries, boasts a five-star safety rating from the China NCAP, the highest automotive safety benchmark.
Captain Lekhnath Pokhrel, President of the Pilot Association of Nepal, expressed heartfelt thanks for Skywell's early support, calling the collaboration "a unique example of commitment to passenger comfort and safety from two trusted institutions."
The summit will also serve as the formal launch of the Pilot Association of Nepal, with the association's annual activity calendar for 2025 to be unveiled at the event.
