Five drug pedlars arrested

A team from the Narcotic Drug Control Law Enforcement Unit (NDCLEU), New Baneswhor, arrested five persons with drugs from different places. Dawa Maya Tamang, 27, was arrested

with 7.285 kg of hashish from the Tribhuvan International Airport when police checked her bags. The hashish was was kept inside 133 hats, said DSP at NDCLEU, Dibas Udas. Tamang, who hails from Tipleng-9, Dhading, was shceduled to board a flight for Bangkok in the afternoon. Krishna Rai was arrested on Thursday with 33 grams of heroin from Kalanki. Also on Thursday, police arrested Kumar Gautam, 48, Hari Dhungana, 30, and Bir Bahadur Thapa, 49, for their involvement in smuggling drugs. The three were arrested with 100 kg of hashish from a room which they had rented in one Bir Thapa’s house at Gangabu.
