Foreign Minister Gyawali attends the 18th mid-term NAM ministerial meeting

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is attending the 18th Mid-Term Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement which kicked-off today in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev delivered the inaugural speech at the meeting.

The Foreign Minister also delivered a statement at the conference. He later paid a courtesy call to President Ilham Aliyev.

Gyawali is leading a delegation to the Mid-Term Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement. The theme of this conference is “Promoting International Peace and Security for Sustainable Development”. 

Meanwhile, Gyawali also tweeted about Nepal’s views on NAM, sustainable development and international peace, as delivered in NAM’s ministerial meeting today, through a tweet.

On conclusion of the ministerial conference on April 6, Minister Gyawali will leave for New Delhi, India, to accompany Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on his official visit.
