FM stations sore at govt decision
Kathmandu: FM radio broadcasters have voiced serious concern over the goverment’s decision to deny government advertisements to the private media. In a press statement here today, they labelled the government’s step as “ridiculous”. “Banning the broadcast of news on FM has challenged the concept of freedom of the press and the entire constitutional base,” the statement said, while seeking the clear stance of the ministry of information and communication on the issue. — hns
