KATHMANDU: Former Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU) Dr Govinda Sharma passed away at the age of 75.

He passed away at a hospital in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Wednesday night. Dr Sharma had undergone liver transplantation seven years back.

TU Registrar Dilliram Upreti said they were informed about the demise of former Vice-Chancellor today. The TU has scheduled a programme for Friday at Kirtipur to mourn Sharma's passing away.
