LALITPUR: Lalitpur District Court has sent three persons, including a woman, to jail after they failed to post their bail amount on fraud charge. Gyan Bahadur Chhetri, 60, of Kathmandu, Shiva Bhurlakoti, 55, of Terhathum, and Sitadevi Dhakal, 63, of Jhapa were arrested on the charge of swindling Dimpal Thapa of Kumaripati, Lalitpur of Rs 500,000 with a promise of earning the victim huge amounts of money through the lending, last week.

Police had produced the trio before the court. The court sentenced them to imprisonment on Tuesday after they were not able to post a bail amount of Rs 350,000 each.
