KATHMANDU: Two persons were injured after a speeding petrol tanker lost control and overturned in Kalanki on Sunday. The injured have been identified as Sagar Shrestha, 34, of Satungal, a motorcyclist, and Purusottam Paudel, 46, who was travelling in the tanker. According to police, the driver lost control after he jammed on the brakes to save the motorcycle that Shrestha was riding, and overturned on the road. Hundreds of litres of petrol got spilled after the tanker overturned. Police had restricted vehicles plying the road section for more than one hour to retrieve the tanker. The tanker driver has been arrested and further investigation is under way.
