Fugitive drug dealer nabbed

The Narcotic Drug Control and Law Enforcement Unit has arrested Dil Bahadur Gurung, the main accused who had escaped after 669 kg of hashish was confiscated from New Baneswor, nine months ago. The unit today presented the evidence to Kathmandu District Court for legal action against Gurung.

The sleuths on Monday also arrested Dipendra Kumar Shrestha, 25, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City- 29 from Sinamangal with 60 grammes of heroine, and Ram Krishna Thapa, 25, of Karthali VDC-4 in Sindhupalchowk with 14 grams of heroine from Tilganga. Similarly, a police team of the Narcotic Drug Control and Law Enforcement Unit at the Tribhuvan International Airport today arrested Bangkok-bound Tulasi Prasad Gurung along with 11.6 kg of hashish. According to police, Tulasi, a resident of Ghermu VDC-3 in Lamjung, was about to leave for Bangkok on RNAC’s flight 401.
