KATHMANDU: Police on Friday arrested seven persons red-handed for illegal gambling from a resort in Darjeling Height of Suryabinayak Municipality-6 in Bhaktapur district.

A team deployed from the Jagati-based Metropolitan Police Circle arrested Rajesh Pradan (40) of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-4 in the district and six others from the Green Valley Resort, informed police.

Police also confiscated Rs 58,000 cash and one pack of cards from the site.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway, said police.
