Ganga Maya admitted to ICU
KATHMANDU: Ganga Maya Adhikari, who is staging hunger strike at Bir Hospital for the past six days demanding action against the murderers of her son, has been admitted to ICU of the hospital on Tuesday.
A permanent resident in Phujel of Gorkha district, Ganga Maya has been demanding action in the 2004 murder of her teenager son for the past six years.
She resumed fast-unto-death recently to press the government to arrest the murderers of her son.
Her son, Krishna Prasad, was killed by the Maoist rebels in Chitwan.
Earlier, Ganga Maya lost her husband Nanda Prasad, who also struggled to seek justice to their murdered son.
Meanwhile, human rights activists, who recently launched the 'Save Ganga Maya' campaign, have staged a sit-in in front of Bir Hospital claiming justice for the mother.
