KATHMANDU: Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Himalayan Times chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) elected Jayaram Gautam its President.

The meeting held at the THT office unanimously elected Gautam to the post on Wednesday.

Earlier, the AGM had approved the resignation tendered by incumbent President Som Nath Bastola. Bastola had quit the position on June 30.

Meanwhile, the meeting also elected Chandani Ghimire a FNJ central representative, which remained vacant after Gautam was elected the President.
