Kathmandu, September 20:

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, in accordance with Interim Constitution of Nepal-2063, designated Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam to look after the portfolio of Prime Minister in the absence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda.’

Apart from the Prime Minister’s portfolio, Gautam will also look after the portfolio of Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare.

Dahal on Saturday left for the United States to take part in 63rd General Assembly of the United Nations.
