Kathmandu, February 5

A group of cross-dressing men today accused a man of physically assaulting them for sex at Babylon disco, Sundhara, last night.

Some 10 gays, who were enjoying dance at the Babylon at about 1:30 am, were reported to have been physically assaulted by a Mongolian-faced man demanding sexual favours.

According to a complaint filed at the Blue Diamond Society, they were chased by a man holding a knife.

"Janasewa Police at New Road refused to register their complaint," a press release issued by the Blue Diamond Society states.

At last, they filed a complaint at the society’s office seeking justice.

The society, in turn, urged media and other concerned

bodies for support and solidarity to protect the rights of homo-sexuals and demanded

thorough investigation into the incident.

"The society urges Nepal Police to understand the diversity of culture and respect different sexuality and gender identity," states Sunil B Pant on behalf of

the society.
