KATHMANDU: Gender-based discrimination seen in the education sector must be stopped.

In the two-day national campaign "girl education and gender equality", Director at the Department of Education Mitra Masni Gharti said the gender disparity must end. He further said that the Ministry is committed to practice gender-friendly education in the district level.

The District Education Officer, Doti, said that it would be possible if it was practiced at the local level.

Representatives from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Cooperative Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development were present in the programme.
