KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 16

The German government handed over more than 4.1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to Nepal government in Kathmandu, today.

The vaccines were handed over as a part of Covax facility.

Dr Stephen Rusek, the German ambassador to Nepal, presented Minister of Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada with a package of 4,142,250 vaccine doses, including Covid-19 vaccinations manufactured by Moderna and Johnson.

"Nepal remains grateful to the Gov and people of Germany for their continued cooperation in our fight against the pandemic," Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
