‘Get airports running’

KATHMANDU: International Relations and Labour Committee of the Legislature Parliament on Thursday instructed the government to make all airports across the country that already have basic infrastructure, but are not in use due to various problems, operational within three months by making necessary arrangements.

A meeting of the House panel in Singha Durbar also urged the government to prepare criteria within one week for setting up new airports.

The panel headed by Prabhu Sah also asked the government make airports that are under-construction and airports that can be renovated operational at the earliest possible date.

The panel directed the government to adjust and determine the price of aviation fuel as per the current international standard and market price.
