Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said good governance was necessary for country's development.
Addressing a programme organised here today at his residence at Khumaltar by Gorkha-Kathmandu Contact Forum, he opined that he contested in the election to the House of Representatives from Gorkha as economic revolution was needed to create a base for socialism.
'Gorkha is the appropriate place to take the country towards unity, prosperity and good governance. I should maintain national unity with the strength and trust of the people of Gorkha", he shared.
He expressed determination that he would fulfill the trust and responsibilities given by Gorkha folks.
Education, health, tourism, employment, food sovereignty and modernisation of agriculture in Gorkha were in his priority, he said.
"I am confident that I will get all of your support for these activities. Harmony among the people of Gorkha has given me much motivation to work with positive energy."
In another context, he further said dissatisfaction and frustration trying to emerge in politics should be addressed.
