PM Oli acknowledges economic prosperity as govt's first priority
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reiterated the goal of economic prosperity calling it the top priority of the government.
Speaking to the participants of 12th convocation of the Rastriya Sewa Dal in Lalitpur on Wednesday, PM Oli said that government is committed to educate all youths for their active involvement in the Country’s development.
Moreover, the Prime Minister opined that economic prosperity was only possible through contribution from youths while urging all those involved in the training to work with high morale and in unison.
"All of us need to work together for the development of this country decorated with the highest peak of the world, birthplace of Lord Budhha and natural specificity," PM Oli said.
Likewise, Defense Minister and Rastriya Sewa Dal Coordinator Ishwor Pokhrel stressed that the government would pay attention on optimally utilising knowledge and skills of the youths.
Youth empowerment is also on the list of priorities of the government, Pokhrel added.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli unveiled a book 'Rastriya Sewa Dal: Past and Present' while the participants sang a patriotic song penned by PM Oli.
According to Director General of the Rastriya Sewa Dal, Major General Rabindra Chhetri said that the Sewa Dal would impart training to 7,700 youths of 77 districts in the upcoming days with an objective of preparing 'Smart Youth'.
The Sewa Dal has a target of providing training to 6,000 youths this year.
