Govt employees told not to leave districts

Kathmandu, November 13

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs Narayan Prasad Sharma Duwadi said that MoHA had directed its employees across the country not to leave their districts without permission.

“We have directed our employees across the country not to leave the districts unless they have very urgent work. We have also requested other civil servants not to leave the districts in the run-up to the elections” said Duwadi.

At this moment he received a call from Rolpa chief district officer seeking permission to attend a workshop in Nepalgunj tomorrow. “Make sure that you can be reached on phone at all moments,” Duwadi directed the CDO over phone.

MoHA is conducting regional security analysis before election and in this process it will hold a workshop in Nepalgunj for the mid-western region tomorrow. It will hold another such programme in Dhangadi for the far-western region.

MoHA has proposed security workshop on November 17 in Biratnagar for the eastern region. It has also proposed to hold such workshop in the central region on November 19 in Dhulikhel.
