Govt days numbered: Thapa

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Kamal Thapa today said the days of the CPN- UML-led coalition government are numbered as, according to him, this is the “most incompetent” government of all times.

Addressing a mass meeting at Basantapur after the Singha Durbar gherao, Thapa said, “The UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML are hatching a conspiracy to extend the tenure of the Constituent Assembly and to have the country declared a failed state.

“But, we will never let them succeed.”

He warned that the country will witness anarchy if the Big-three eluded the people and extended the CA tenure. He also said that his party will consider withdrawing support to the government.

“It is the most incompetent government of all times. The country is heading for civil war,” he said.

He added that restoration of Nepal as a Hindu state and constitutional monarchy is the need of the hour.

He also dared the government to re-investigate the royal massacre and dig out the truths. “Those blaming former King Gyanendra Shah for the massacre are now holding power in the government. I challenge them to track down the guilty.”
