Talks had commended early on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, MARCH 3

The talk team formed by Government of Nepal has completed the second round of talks with representatives of outlawed Netra Bikram Chand Biplav-led Communist Party of Nepal.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Foreign Affairs Advisor Rajan Bhattarai, who is one of the members of the talk team representing the government stated that both the parties are nearing consensus at the end of the second leg of discussions.

​​​​​​"The second round of talks between the two sides concluded this evening. The talks were centered around major issues and both the sides are nearing a point of agreement," Bhattarai shared in a Twitter post.

​​​​​​Bhattarai further expressed hope that with the current developments, the talks could soon reach a positive conclusion.

KP Sharma Oli led government and the outlawed CPN had both announced the formation of respective talk teams on Tuesday.
