Grievances management desk inaugurated
Kathmandu, July 10
Home Minister Janardan Sharma today inaugurated the grievances management room that was set up at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Minister Sharma inaugurated the room by picking the grievances of Jaya Mahat from Jumla on the ministry’s toll free number 1112.
According to the ministry, Mahat from Jumla had complained about the misuse of government vehicles, irregularities during the tender process and the fact that senior posts were being filled up by juniors while adjusting civil servants at the local level.
Minister Sharma called Chief District Officer of Jumla Narayan Sapkota and ordered him to prepare a report after studying the grievances and take necessary steps to solve the problems of the general public. The minister also instructed Sapkota to manage civil servants at the local levels on the basis of their seniority.
The ministry set up the grievances management room at the ministry itself to respond to the grievances of the public regarding the Home ministry and its subordinate bodies. Anyone can register their grievances regarding the ministry and its subordinate bodies by calling on toll free number 1112 or sending email gunaso@moha.gov.np or through the ministry’s twitter account @mohagunaso.
