Kathmandu, November 3

A police head constable working at Madhyapur Thimi Police Circle in Bhaktapur met with a sudden death at 11:00pm yesterday.

Head constable Lal Babu Raut was on duty at the police office when he suddenly collapsed.

He was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital at Gaththaghar for treatment, but the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, Chief of Madhyapur Thimi Police Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police Prajwal Maharjan said. Raut was a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City, Parsa.

The body has been sent to Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of his death.
