KATHMANDU : A modern toilet has been set up for clean environment focusing for the visitors in Basantapur Durbar Square Area. In the toilet water, toilet paper, electricity and sanitation are managed well for the service seekers.

Service recipients have to pay Rs 5 and Rs 3 for short and long toilet respectively. Kathmandu Metropolis Office charges a certain amount for providing space.

Safety tanks from Environment Department, Teku of the Metropolis manages the waste from the toilet. Himal Deula, a cleaner, said service recipients expressed their happiness and thanked us for managing the public toilet in the area. Besides, Basantapur there is necessity of such toilets in the Valley. It is learnt that such facilities are being set up in Balaju, Bus Park in the near future.
