KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 27

The High Court in Patan has issued an interim order preventing the implementation of the notice demanding the immediate vacation of the building owned by Bhatbhateni Developers Pvt Ltd and operated by entrepreneur Min Bahadur Gurung on Lalita Niwas land.

A single bench, presided over by Judge Munendra Prasad Awasthi of the High Court in Patan, issued the interim order, halting the enforcement of the notice issued by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) to vacate the Bhatbhateni-operated structure on Lalita Niwas land in Baluwatar.

The High Court issued the interim order in the names of entrepreneur Gurung and his relative, Sarala Ghale Gurung.

Following the issuance of a notice by the KMC demanding the evacuation of all structures belonging to Bhatbhateni, a writ petition was filed at the High Court seeking a prohibition order.
