The Government of Nepal has formed a team to hold talks with outlawed Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav'-led Communist Party of Nepal. Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa will lead the two-member talk-team.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Foreign Affairs Advisor and close aide Rajan Bhattarai is the team that will represent the government at the discussion table.

Spokesperson for the government, Minister for Communication and Information Technology shared the details of the development in a press statement issued Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the CPN, which had recently confirmed that they were ready for talks with the government, is yet to reveal its team.

General Secretary of the party Chand, issuing a statement on February 20, had said the party was positive about holding talks with the government.
