Home Minister furnishes property details

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bhim Rawal today furnished his property details at the Prime Minister’s Office, as demanded by the Corruption Control Act 2002.

According to the Act, the ministers should submit their property details within 60 days of assuming their office.

Rawal has cash deposits of Rs 43,000 at the Singha Durbar branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank and Rs 74,000 at Singha Durbar branch of Everest Bank Limited, according to the details furnished to the government. His son Prabat Rawal has a cash deposit of Rs 100,000 at the Standard Chartered Bank.

Similarly, the Rawal family has 15 tolas of gold, five tolas of silver and a Maruti car. In fixed asset, Rawal owns a three-storey house at KMC-32, which was built 16 years ago. Rawal also has a house and some ancestral property at his native place in Achham district.
