Shanker Group and Infinity Holding Pvt Ltd have jointly provided health support materials amounting to Rs 30 million.

The two business groups provided the health equipment and emergency support materials to health workers who have been serving at different hospitals of Nepal as the country has been battered by the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

The groups provided the support to Bir Hospital, Armed Police Force Hospital, Rupandehi Province Hospital and Seti Province Hospital.

Shanker Group Chair Shanker Lal Agrawal said the health equipment and materials were provided to the hospitals in a bid to support the country's efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The group has also stepped up its preparation to set up a highly equipped and multi-beneficial oxygen plant at Seti Province Hospital. The oxygen plant of Nova Air Medical Company that will be imported from France has the potential to generate 700 litres of 'high flow' oxygen daily. It will be adequate for 45 beds.

Both the groups have handed over sets of mattress, bedsheet, pillow and pillow cover necessary for 50 beds in Bir Hospital, Kathmandu. Likewise, the groups handed over necessary materials that would meet the demands of 100 beds of hospitals in Sudurpaschim.
