House panel to visit Susta
Kathmandu, December 7:
The Parliamentary International Relations Committee (IRC) today said it will urge the government to initiate dialogue with India on “border encroachment” and send lawmakers to Susta on a fact finding mission.
“The Committee will write a letter to Foreign Ministry on Sunday,” IRC Chairman Narayan Man Bijukchhe said.
The IRC plans to discuss about sending a team of lawmakers to Susta of Nawalparasi with Chief Whips of all parties in its meeting slated for December 12. “The issue of ‘encroachment’ is serious, therefore we have decided to send lamakers to Susta,” Bijukchhe said. The December 12 meeting with Chief Whips is expected to set the date for the on-site inspection by the MPs.
