House passes sorrow motion

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives held Friday passed a special proposal expressing sorrow over the tragic death of 51 passengers on board the US Bangla aircraft that had crashed on landing at Tribhuvan International Airport on March 12.

The special proposal prays for the departed souls' eternal peace and expresses condolences to the families of the deceased. It further wishes for speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.

Likewise, speaking at the house, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended his tributes to those killed in the ill-fated incident. He also wished for speedy recovery of the survivors who are undergoing treatment.

The meeting observed a minute's silence in memory of those that lost their lives in the crash.
