IGP Gurung surprises cops again
Kathmandu, November 1:
Inspector General of Police Hem Bahadur Gurung today made a surprise visit to the Armed Police Battalions in Naxal and Maharajgunj, the Central Police Task Force and the Police Dog Training School.
During his visit, the senior police officers apprised him of the physical infrastructure, nature of work and future plans of their respective offices.
Upon inspecting the officers’ mess, the police chief directed the officers concerned to do their bit to improve the existing structure.
According to the police, Gurung has made several surprise visits of various sections of the organisation since his appointment as the chief of the Nepal Police.
The IGP’s secretariat said such visits came in handy to know the reality of the police offices on the spot and took note of the grievances of police personnel.
More surprise visits are in the offing, the office added.
