Power-cut protest

KATHMANDU: Nepal Students’ Union on Sunday organised a candle- rally to protest the unprecedented 16-hour daily power outage imposed by the state-owned Nepal Electricity Authority. The rally began from Tri-Chandra College and went up to central office of the NEA at Ratnapark. Bhupendra Jung Shahi, vice president of the Nepali Congress-affiliated student body, blamed the Maoist-led government for failing to address the public issues. The student leader also accused the present coalition government of being unable to bring about any revolutionary change in the country. — HNS
