Programme for kids

KATHMANDU: Children-Women in Social Service and Human Rights and Interpedia, Finland, are working on a joint project to discourage the use of children as domestic help. Through the project, both the organisations are raising awareness about domestic child labour, providing quality education and giving the children access to a life free from violence and abuse. “Children are deprived of educational opportunities and are prone to violence and lack of social protection,” said Eija Oksanen, volunteer and project evaluator from Finland. — HNS
