Engineers’ Day

Kathmandu : The Nepal Engineers’ Association (NEA) is set to celebrate the first Engineers’ Day in Nepal on Friday with the theme ‘Fostering Engineers: Pioneering Prosperous Nepal.’ Speaking at a press conference in Kathmandu on Wednesday, NEA president Kishor Shakya said engineers had a prominent role in the development of the nation. He said, “Engineers have the major responsibility to create a society which is strong physically, static socially and beautiful culturally. “It has been proved that the technology is the backbone of development,” he said, adding, “The developed as well as developing countries have adopted technologies as the medium to foster development.” — HNS
