Sood meets PM

Kathmandu: Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood met PM Girija Prasad Koirala on Wednesday. “Current political situation and bilateral relations were discussed at the meeting,” Indian embassy spokesman Gopal Bagalay said. Koirala told the envoy that consultations were going on with the parties on the procedure of the CA and government formation. During the meeting held at the PM’s official residence, Sood reiterated that India would accept the decision of the Nepalis and extend full support to the next government. Presenting his letter of credence to the PM on April 30, Sood had said India looked forward to working with the new government. — HNS
