FNJ office-bearers

BHAKTAPUR: The fourth conference of Bhaktapur chapter of Federation of Nepalese Journalists on Tuesday elected a new nine-member executive committee under the leadership of Narayan Sundar Kilambu. Krishna Kisi has been elected vice president, Ganesh Rai secretary and Sunee Banapali treasurer. Shiva Dahal, Nabina Kharbhuja, Chandra Krishna Shrestha, Dhruba Ram Thapa and Bharat Bandhu Thapa are the members of the executive committee. The conference elected nine FNJ council members. They are Kedar Khadka, Kabir Rana, Dilip Thapa Magar, Shekhar Dhungana, Nishant Dhungel, Ranjan Prajapati, Amar Bhuju, Baldev Thapa and Kamal Sapkota, a press release issued by the chapter stated. — HNS

Dinner reception

KATHMANDU: Malaysian ambassador to Nepal Dato’ Ilankovan Kolandavelu on Tuesday hosted a dinner reception to introduce himself to ministers and officials of the Government of Nepal, other ambassadors and chief of foreign missions at Hotel Soaltee. Before Nepal, Kolandavelu was the consul general to Hong Kong and Macau. — HNS
