Library to be opened
Kathmandu: Members of the British Council (BC) library will be able to read books from March as Society for the Kathmandu Valley Public Library (SKVPL) will complete the renovation of its new building at Bhrikuti Mandap by then, Juju Bhai Dangol, library manager of the SKVPL, said. Earlier on January 3, the BC had reached an understanding with the SKVPL to hand over all its books to the latter. Dangol said the SKVPL would start issuing books after all the 36,000 books are computerised. — HNS
PhD awarded
KATHMANDU: Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of TU, recently awarded PhD degree to Anita Dhungel of Bishalnagar after she submitted her research work titled ‘The Silent Ministry: A Study of Silence in Poetry’. Dhungel is a lecturer at TU’s Central Department of English. — HNS
