Groups trade fire
KATHMANDU: Two groups exchanged fire at Dhapasi on Tuesday afternoon, police said. According to the SP at the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Dhak Bahadur Karki, the two unidentified groups traded fire from a distance of 30 metres. “However, nobody was injured,” he said. One group opened fire from Dhapasi height and another started firing from Thapakuwa. Police found six used catridges — two from a 9 mm pistol and four from 7.64 pistols — on the spot. “We are investigating the incident,” Karki said. — HNS
Child labourers
KATHMANDU: The Concern for Children and Environment -Nepal (CONCERN) on Tuesday urged the government to regularise child labourers in formal and informal sector as per legal provisions. Issuing a statement here, it appealed to the government to strictly implement six working hours for the children below 18 years. — HNS
