Red Cross funds
MADHYAPUR THIMI: The Nepal Red Cross Society, Bhaktapur, has instituted three funds. With the aim of giving continuity to the ambulance service run by the Red Cross, a revolving fund has been instituted, said KP Awale, president of the Nepal Red Cross Society. The fund has five lakh rupees. The Red Cross Branch has instituted the Organisational Development Fund for the construction of a new building and extension of services. The fund has Rs 800,000. Natural Disaster Relief Fund has been set up with the objective of mitigating disasters. — RSS
Call to end impunity
LALITPUR: Expressing concern over rights violations, human rights activists on Monday stressed that action should be taken against those found guilty to end the culture of impunity. They expressed this view while releasing a book Adhyara 258 Dinharu (258 dark days) written by advocate and journalist Jeetman Basent at an interaction programme titled ‘Present status of the impunity in Nepal’ organised by the Advocacy Forum- Nepal here. — RSS
