Weekly’s editor manhandled

Kathmandu: An unidentified group manhandled executive editor of the Janadesh weekly Manarishi Dhital while he was returning home from office at Wafal on Saturday night. The group also seized Dhital’s cell phone. Issuing a press release, convener of the All Nepal Revolutionary Journalists’ Association central ad hoc committee, Maheswor Dahal, has condemned the attack on a ‘revolutionary’ journalist. “The association has taken the incident as a conspiracy of royalists and regressive forces,” Dahal said in the release. The National Network of Weeklies and Fortnightlies has also condemned the attack. It has urged the government to take action against the criminal gang. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Chirayu National Health and Research Centre Health (CNHRC) provided 479 persons with free health check-up services at its premises at Thapagaon on Saturday, a press release stated. The release added the CNHRC provided services like X-Ray, ECG, ultra sound, Echocardiogram and blood check-up for free to the people. — HNS
