Team meets Dy PM

KATHMANDU: A delegation led by Narayan Sapkota, chairman of the Bhim Hospital Development Committee in Bhairahawa, met with Deputy PM and Minister for Health and Population Amik Sherchan at his office on Sunday and apprised him about the various problems faced by the hospital. The delegation requested Sherchan for making arrangements for the pediatric and obstetrics specialist at the hospital that has been lacking since 2058 BS. — RSS

VDCs sans facilities

LALITPUR: Dozens of VDCs in Lalitpur district, though linked to the capital city, are deprived of basic facilities. The people of some VDCs are deprived of water supply, drainage, health, roads and transportation facilities. The people of Godamchaur, Thaiba, Chapagaun have to reach the Ring-Road to take the services and facilities. “How can we say we are townspeople since we have no basic facilities,” questioned Krishna Thapa of Chapagaun. — RSS
