Tarulata dies
KATHMANDU: Active woman leader, Tarulata Rayamajhi died of heart failure, on Thursday at the age of 74. Rayamajhi has been actively engaged in movement for women’s rights and welfare for the past four decades. Her funeral service was held at the Pashupatinath Arayaghat on Thursday. Various politicians and social workers paid their tribute to Rayamajhi. She is survived by her husband, three sons and a daughter. — RSS

MADHYAPUR THIMI: The residents of Nagarkot organised a programme here on Friday in memory of their fellow villagers who were killed on the same day a year ago by an army man who went on a rampage and fired indiscriminately at the villagers holding prayers at the Kalikadevi Temple at Chihandanga of the VDC. — RSS

KATHMANDU: Various materials published by the non-government organisations will be put on display in the book exhibition set to be held here from December 20-24. The exhibition is being organised with a view to bringing together publication materials of the NGOs and promoting reading culture in the country. — RSS
