Trolley buses off road
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City on Friday decided to discontinue the trolley bus service. KMC stated that it would seek help from China, the donor of current trolley buses, to find an alternative way to restart the service in the future, for which it has already started consultation. The financial burden incurred by running the service is said to be the reason behind discontinuing of the environment-friendly bus service. — HNS
Seminar on AIDS
KATHMANDU: Standard Charted Bank Nepal Ltd and FNCCI on Friday jointly organised a seminar on HIV/AIDS to encourage the business community to incorporate HIV/AIDS workplace plan, a statement issued here said. Jaspal Bindra, General Manager, South East and South Asia for Standard Charted Bank, shared with leaders of about 30 business organisations the policy and workplace programme on HIV/ AIDS. — HNS
Blood donation camp
KATHMANDU: Bachelor level students of Prime College organised a blood donation programme on the college premise on Friday. A total of 102 students, teachers, staffs and parents of Prime College and neighbours donated blood. — HNS
