NAC gets new MD

KATHMANDU: Gautam Das Shrestha on Thursday joined the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) as managing director. “We will try to revive the corporation service and we plan to hold promotional activities to enhance the airlines image,” said Shrestha. He said the corporation needs to add more aircraft to its existing fleet to ensure regular flight operations. — HNS

Forest users awarded

BHAKTAPUR: The District Forest Office has awarded four best community forest users’ committees of the district. The Jalpa Devi Community Forest Users’ Committee, the Bandeswori Community Forest Users’ Committe, the Chameli Forest Users’ Committee and the Thulo Gairo Pakha Community Forest Users’ Committee were ranked first, second, third and fourth respectively, in terms of their contribution to community forest development. — RSS
