Boy killed in mishap
KATHMANDU: Six-year old Raju Magar was killed when a motorcycle (Ba 16 Pa 6132) rammed on him at Kharibot of Harisiddhi VDC, Lalitpur, on Sunday. Magar, who hailed from Udayapur, died while undergoing treatment at the Patan Hospital. — HNS
Karki to work for UN
KATHMANDU: DSP Pushkar Karki is due to leave for the UN Headquarters in New York to work as a civilian police at the Department of Peace Keeping Operation on Tuesday. Karki is among three police officers selected for the mission from across the globe and the only one from Asia. — HNS
‘Thieves’ arrested
KATHMANDU: Police arrested two persons who allegedly attempted to steal property from the house of Professor Dr Govinda Malla and beat him up at Maitidevi on Saturday evening. Arjun Thapa of Dolakha and Samir Khadki of Kathmandu were arrested on Sunday, police said. — HNS
