Detainees released

Kathmandu: Professor Bhupati Dhakal, CPN-UML youth leader Yogesh Bhattarai, Manju Bhattarai and Rameshwor Upadhayay were released on Tuesday following the order of the apex court. A division bench of judges of the Supreme Court Paramananda Jha and Gauri Dhakal issued the order to the Home Ministry and the Police Headquarters to release them. Discount on kerosene

KATHMANDU: The government has made arrangements to provide kerosene to the people in remote areas, low-income people and students at a discount rate of 1/50 per litre, according to Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply. In a statement, the ministry said the Nepal Oil Corporation has decided to provide kerosene at a discount rate. — RSS
