Traffic obstructed

BHAKTAPUR: Bhaktapur Minibus Sewa Samiti (BMSS) obstructed traffic on Sallaghari-Bhaktapur road for around three hours on Monday. Bishnu Neupane, office secretary at BMSS, told The Himalayan Times that the chakka jam was organised to protest the operation of bus service by Madhya Upatakya Bus Byawashayi Sangh on Sanothimi-Gongabu route. — HNS

Labour Court verdict

KATHMANDU: The Labour Court on Monday directed Lalitpur-based Memors Incorporated Pvt Ltd to provide Rs 48,000 as compensation to its staffer Lal Bahadur Rokaya. Judge Shesh Raj Siwakoti issued the order in response to a case filed by Rokaya against the company which had not paid him for a couple of months. — HNS
